Update: The column will be null when no sent date is available.

Date Available: Beta 10/23, Prod 10/23

Which customers are impacted?: Lenders sending the PAL who opt-in.

Required?: No, opt-in.

How to turn on: This will not be automatically enabled for our customers. It will be available beginning on the dates listed above. If you’d like to take advantage of this functionality, please email support@blend.com.

Purpose of Update and Benefit: Loan officers can now view and filter loans by pre-approval letter status directly from the lender pipeline. This enhancement makes it easier to identify when a pre-approval letter was last sent and manage follow-up without opening each loan individually.

Current Behavior: The lender pipeline does not display whether or when a pre-approval letter was sent to the borrower. Loan officers must open each loan individually to check this information.

New Behavior: Loan officers can add the “Pre-approval Letter Latest Sent Date” column to the lender pipeline through Pipeline > Customize.

Column behavior:

  • When a pre-approval letter has been sent, the column displays “Sent” on MM/DD/YY, showing the most recent date a letter was sent to the borrower.

  • When no sent date is available, the column will be null.

  • The date reflects the latest pre-approval letter sent to the borrower, not a letter previewed by the loan officer in the lender app.

  • The column is sortable.

Filter behavior:

  • The corresponding filter provides two options: Sent and Not Available.

  • Selecting “Sent” filters for loans with a recorded pre-approval letter sent date.

  • Selecting “Not Available” filters for loans without an available sent date.

  • Selecting both options returns all loans.

Note: The column is not automatically added to a user's saved pipeline view. Loan officers must select it through Pipeline > Customize to display it.
